The Story of the Book
Pretty much everyone knows a story in the Bible. You don’t have to be a Christian to have heard of Adam and Eve, the snake in the garden, a world-wide flood, Moses parting a body of water, someone who walked on water, or have heard of a 1st century Jewish leader who was crucified, and whose followers claimed to have seen him after death. We’ve heard the stories, heard of the stories, read the stories, grew up with the stories, - but are they just stories? Do we believe the stories? If they’re just stories, then there’s no problem. They’re great stories to read, to pretend, or to learn some moral lesson from. But if they are history and if they are to be believed, then they have the potential to change the story of every person on the planet. Here’s a question: You probably know a story in the Bible, but do you know the story of the Bible?
