What important character traits are required of the disciples as they prepare for the Holy Spirit? What foundation is Jesus helping build into their lives? How does Jesus’ words in the sermon on the mount in Matthew 7: 24-27 prepare the disciples for His words in Acts 1:8.? What do the disciples need? When you read Acts 2:1- 13, How would you explain what is happening to someone who doesn’t know Jesus? Does part of the Apostle Peter’s sermon in Acts 2-14-21 help you with an explanation? If so, how? When you read Acts 2:42-47, what stands out to you in what was happening in the church? Is there anything you would add that is foundational to the church? Other scriptures you might reference? In Acts 4:19-20, we see Peter and John’s response to the Religious leaders as they are threatened if they continue speaking about Jesus. What would your response be? What does their response tell you about them?
