We use the work to get the people done. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Pastor Kile Baker What makes a church last? Our Mission: “We exist to help people know and love God most so they can know and love themselves and others best.” (Mark 12:30-31) We want people to know and love: God (Authority) Themselves (Identity) Others (Activity) Matthew 28:16-20 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” How do we reach the people who aren't here? What the world needs more than anything else is the gospel. How do we disciple the people who are here? What the world needs from Christians is for us to live faithfully devoted lives to Christ. Our future isn’t a building project, it’s a people project. What makes a church last? What makes the church effective?
